Music lover Shindana “Dana” Crawford began her radio career ten years ago at a classic rock station in Schenectady, New York. From there she became the afternoon host on a Smooth Jazz station Albany, New York. It is there that she began her love affair with all things Smooth Jazz. Dana decided in 2002 to take a risk, she quit her job, packed up her things and went back to college. It paid off. After three years of rigorous training, in the fall of 2005, Dana graduated with honors from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. Voice being her instrument, she studied the art at Berklee and considers singing and performing a passion. Once the degree was complete, radio came knocking again. She landed a gig with Smooth Jazz 105.9 WJZW in Washington DC. Not long after Las Vegas beckoned and by the start of 2007 she landed her current gig as the co-host of the Smooth Jazz Sunrise at 105.7, The Oasis. “I have lived in Boston, Connecticut, Maryland, and New York in the past six years. Of all, Las Vegas feels most like home so it is here that I plan to stay.”
